Burgers are certainly a dish loved by young and old and there are countless versions of it. It is a quick and easy dish to prepare perfect for lunch or a dinner with friends.
In this recipe we used rye bread instead of the traditional hamburger bread and spinach leaves instead of the classic lettuce. To give a little liveliness to the dish we used the Spicy Sauce Cascina San Cassiano, but if you prefer a less strong but equally tasty flavor try the Peppers from Carmagnola Sauce. Have fun creating different versions of this hamburger in combination with the Mediterranean Sauce, the “Sicily” Sauce or the Topinanbour Sauce and the BBQ-3 Oriental Ginger Cascina San Cassiano!
Ingredients
- 4 rye sandwiches
- 130 g of cheddar cheese
- spinach leaves
- salt and pepper to taste
- 4 slices of tomato
- 800 g of ground beef
- 4 slices of bacon
- butter to taste
- Spicy Sauce Cascina San Cassiano
- Classic Mayonnaise Cascina San Cassiano
Preparation
Prepare the 4 burgers using 200 g of meat for each. Work the meat with your hands until it has the desired shape, then season with pepper, salt and oil on both sides and cook in a hot pan for about 6 – 7 minutes on each side. Take the cheddar and place a slice of cheese on each hamburger in the pan, pour a spoonful of water and cover with a lid. Leave to cook for another 6 minutes. After this time, the burgers will be rare, but it is possible to prolong the cooking for a few minutes to obtain a much more cooked meat. Cook the bacon on the plate until it becomes crispy. Divide the sandwiches in half and butter the inside of each slice to make it soft. Lightly toast the inside of the sandwiches by placing them on the hot plate. Sprinkle the slice on the base of mayonnaise, place a few leaves of spinach, a slice of tomato, then lay the hamburger on top with the cheddar, bacon and finally a layer of spicy sauce. Close the sandwich and serve.
