With an original flavor, it is excellent for fruit salads and dessert garnishing, or to accompany red meats and to stuff turkey and guinea fowl. Use the syrup to prepare cocktails, popsicles, juices. Try it also in combination with cream and meringues.
The origins of the chestnut tree are uncertain, even if fossils chestnuts remounting to 10.000 years ag have been found in Italy. In the Middle Ages, the farming of chestnut trees spread widely and some parisians manuscript from the XVth century defines the chestnuts from Lumbardy as the most precious. We produce this delicacy with chestnuts, water and sugar only.
