Pesto is a great classic of Italian cuisine. Known all over the world, pesto is a typical sauce of Liguria, which dates back to the traditional medieval Ligurian passion for using aromatic herbs. The base of the pesto is basil defined by the ancient Greeks as “royal herb.”

Ingredients
- 350 g of trofie pasta
- water
- coarse salt
- Organic Genoese Pesto Cascina San Cassiano
- flaked parmesan to taste
- basil leaves
Preparation
In a large saucepan pour the water and when it boils, add a pinch of coarse salt. Then dip the pasta and wait for the minutes indicated on the package. Meanwhile, dilute the pesto with a tablespoon of cooking water, if necessary, to make it creamier. Drain the pasta and season with the organic pesto. Garnish with a few leaves of fresh basil and parmesan flakes.
