Organic paté made with black olives and sun-dried tomatoes. Ideal for preparing tasty canapés. It is excellent for garnishing meat or fish dishes.
It can be used as a ready-made pesto to be poured directly over just drained pasta. To facilitate the distribution of the sauce, it is recommended that the pesto be diluted with a little pasta cooking water. This pate is ideal with all types of pasta or in combination with main courses of meat or fish, as a base for canapés or on tomatoes salad. Oil surfacing is normal, so we recommend mixing well before use.
What is a “paté”? The term of French origin indicates a culinary preparation in which all the ingredients are finely chopped and cooked in a bain-marie or in steam and finally amalgamated with a fat of animal origin such as butter or with a vegetable base such as oil. Paté should not be confused with pesto or mousse which are processing systems which give different results in terms of flavors, consistency and preservation, despite the fact they are used in some recipes.
