Extra organic jam prepared with two ingredients: fruit and brown sugar. To be spread on bread, to garnish cakes, yogurt and fresh cheese. Jam can be defined as “extra” if the percentage of fruit is greater than or equal to 45%.
To spread on bread, as a filling of croissants, to make tarts and to stuff cakes, to sweeten yogurt, on ice cream.
In ancient times the only known strawberry was the wild variety, which grew spontaneously in the woods of whole Europe. The bigger fruit plant was absent, until in 1714 a French lieutenant offered to the Sun King a strawberry from Chile: mixing the 2 varieties, they obtained the actual strawberries, now spread in all Europe. To prepare our preserve we use just strawberries and organic cane sugar.
