Spicy tomato sauce with chili. Ready to use to season short pasta, such as penne, maccaroni and farfalle. This product is also available in 1000 g/35,27 oz and 500 g/17,63 oz formats.
The sauce is ready to be poured directly onto freshly drained pasta. To enhance the quality of the ingredients, it is advisable to heat it over a low heat or in the microwave, after opening the jar and removing the capsule. Try it also on bread or as a sauce for stewed foods.
Tomato and chili peppers
Tomato comes from Southern and Central America, and arrived in Europe thanks to Hernan Cortés in 1540: as early as in 1544, there are documental evidences of its farming in Italy, in the territories of Emilia Romagna, Tuscany and Souther regions. At first it was thought to be poisonous, and used just for decorative purposes, but at last in the XVIIIth century tomatoes started to be eaten and its farming rose steeply. To prepare this sauce we use italian tomatoes, olives and chili peppers only.
