Ice cream with pistachio spread is a very popular dessert both at the end of a meal and as a snack during the hottest days. The intense and enveloping taste of pistachio is enclosed in a creamy ice cream garnished with chopped pistachios.
For this recipe we used the Pistachio Spread Cascina San Cassiano, but try it also with the Milk and Hazelnut Spread Cascina San Cassiano and chopped hazelnuts.
Ingredients
- 200 ml of whole milk
- 200 g of whipping cream
- 3 tablespoons of granulated sugar
- 100 g of Pistachio Spread Cascina San Cassiano
- chopped pistachios
Preparation
Heat the milk, add the granulated sugar and mix well. Once the sugar has melted, turn off the heat and let the mixture cool. Transfer the milk and sugar to a bowl, then add the cream and pistachio spread. Mix all the ingredients well and transfer the mixture obtained into the ice cream maker for 40 minutes. Before serving, decorate with chopped pistachios.
