The Valentine’s day has origins in the Roman festival of Lupercalia, which celebrated the coming of spring, with fertility rites and the pairing off of women with men by lottery. At the end of the 5th century, Pope Gelasius I replaced this festival with St. Valentine’s Day.

Cook simply and delicious homemade chocolates for your partner, you will need silicone moulds

Preparation

Put 200 g of chocolate flakes in a microwave safe container. Set the microwave to minimum power and cook for 20 seconds, then check if the chocolate has melted. If it has not melted, mix and repeat the operation until the chocolate is liquid.

Brush with chocolate the inside part of the silicone moulds, and refrigerate for 20-30 minutes. When the chocolate has solidified, fill the moulds with a teaspoon of one of our delicate sweet spreads or jams, and create different flavours.

Put the moulds in the refrigerator for an hour. Then melt 100 g of chocolate flakes in the microwave as before, create a layer on top of the mould, and level it with a spatula, put the moulds in the refrigerator for 2 hours, after extract the chocolates from the moulds.

Use moulds with different shapes, but don’t forget to use heart-shaped ones!
