The fig tree was already cultivated by the ancient civilizations of Egypt and Palestine, from where it spread in the whole Mediterranean basin. Phoenicians and Etruscans ate them, while the Romans presented them as gifts for a new year happy and fruitful. To prepare our preserve we use just figs and orgnic cane sugar.
